Former Canadian bobsledder Rob Gray hired as coach

Former Canadian bobsledder Rob Gray has been appointed the Regional Bobsleigh Coach for BCBSA. He will be working as the starts and strength coach, as well as doing recruiting and talent identification.
Gray competed for Canada as a bobsleigh brakeman and crewman, racing internationally from 2006-2010, with pilots such as Lyndon Rush, Pierre Lueders and Serge Despres. He has raced at many levels during his career, from the provincial ABA Cup series to the World Championships.
"I had many great experiences with many great teammates in that time," Gray said of his sliding career.
2011-12 Membership Renewal

Please be advised that all BCBSA memberships will expire on July 31st, 2011. We would like to encourage all members to renew their membership prior to, or at the AGM, which will be held on June 15, 2011.
Please fill out the attached membership form and return it to Nicole Simon, along with your membership dues – cash or cheque only.
The 2011/2012 Membership Fees are as follows:
- Bobsleigh Pilots - $100
- Skeleton - $100
- Bobsleigh Brakemen - $50
- Officials/Volunteers - $25

Attention Members: Election time for positions on the BCBSA Board of Directors is upon us. We would like to encourage members in good standing and who have the best interest of Bobsleigh and Skeleton in mind to run for office.
The positions to be elected this year are as follows: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Director at Large (2 positions).

Upcoming Talent ID Camps

There are several upcoming talent ID camps for anyone interested in getting involved in skeleton or bobsleigh in BC. Please arrive on time. You will be required to sign a waiver and PAR-Q form to ensure you are medically fit to participate. The Camp will begin with the sprint tests; Weight testing will follow (approx. 3hrs total). Please ensure you have proper warm up and testing equipment (Track spikes, weightlifting equipment & clothing).
** There will be a $20 Participation fee to attend each Testing Camp**
